noting an earlier era. Of the original Stasis models many preferred the lowest powered model. While having dozens of output devices is great for challenging loads and ultimate power (a pair of SA/1s has 80), it slightly diminishes sound quality.
If 50 watts/channel is sufficient, I would opt for the SA/3. You may want to replace the big Mallory caps at their age. I replaced mine proactively after about 25 years.
