Oh my...not more poweramps! Yes, Virginia, there really is...

...a San...er...another pair of poweramps in the house.. (The Aesthetix Atlases and Ayre MX-Rs are gone, and the Moon/Simaudio 400Ms and Atma-Sphere MA-1s will be next.)

I'll try to make this short.. Two weeks ago I stumbled into the very existance of the Berning ZHOTL* poweramp called the Quadrature Z with 200Watts per chassis.. It uses three 12AT7s in the frontend, two 16GK6 drivers, and four 33JV6 output tubes.. The latter two are indeed both tetrodes wired into triodes and are discontinued.. In any event, I bought a well-cared-for used pair made in 2007 and received them this week.

So far, they sound VERY nice driving the SLs.

And yes, that note on the board does indicate DANGER 1700 VOLTS.
