If you're somewhat handy you can try measuring the switch contacts for continuity with an DMM set for a low resistance measurement - or a continuity 'beep'. BUT.... be the sure the amp is unplugged and has been shut off for a good amount of time. When in doubt short out the power supply electrolytic caps.If you determine that the switch is good you can try replacing the meter yourself if you feel confident doing so.
Many equipment manufacturers will send you the parts to do repairs on your own if you convince them that you're capable. I had a pair of 70-Lbs Manley Monoblocks that I replaced cathode resistors and caps after Manley sent me the parts. In this case it was much better than shipping 70-Lb amps across the US for repair. Similarly I had a bad meter in a Pass Labs X150.5 power amp. It was probably damaged in shipment. Pass sent me a free replacement meter.
