I think so! Anything Class A can be equalled or bettered elsewhere and it is already morally and maybe legally banned in the not too distant future on environmental grounds.

In 2017 EU legislation limited vacuum cleaners to 900 watts. What happened? All the manufactures re-worked their machines to consume less than 900 watts while retaining their suction power. Class A is irresponsibly inefficient in this day and age and may well be curtailed in future, specially as other more efficient technologies can achieve the same with much less environmental impact. Remember a Class A amp is likely to be powered up for 20 times longer than a vacuum cleaner!
