I experienced the same shi'ite with my '74 Dodge Challenger. When some squirrel pulled that on me, I retorted that he knew better or he wouldn't be inquiring. It was no R/T but it was virtually cherry. It handled. It was fairly economical tire thrasher; street geared limited-slip diff, a short-block 318 w/ a 340's cam & a 360's heads & intake manifold & a 400's exhaust system & 450cfm dual barrel-carbuetator. That thing screamed without all of that wallet unfriendly deterrance.
