k2 works very nice on the planar woofers and midrange on the 3 series. low heat and low power requirements are a plus for the k series. can't comment on the sound on the ribbons as i've never tried it. in bridged mode the switching speed is doubled through their interleaving tech so it might not sound too bad. here's a link to info on the interleaving tech.
