First of all, I don't think the original poster is using the word "bi-amping" properly. In order to bi-amp, you need electronic crossovers before the power amplifiers and you will need to remove the built-in passive crossovers of the MG1.6. Simply using two amps and shoving cables into the MG1.6 won't do you any good _unless_ your single amp had deficient power supply.
As the other poster said, single "good" amp will be a better choice.Adding a sub is not comparable to actively bi-amping. Bi-amping does not get you all that much more bass anyway.
Bi-amping will give you better controlled bass, but not really "more" bass. Sub is still recommended if you feel you need that low frequency.Main benefit of bi-amping is that you'll get much better phase characteristics at the crossover frequency. That means, clearer, better vocals for 1.6.
