Hi Nick,I am running Alpha Cores to my Maggie HT system. I have two single runs of the MI2 to my 1.6s, a single run of MI2 to my CC3, and the HT for my surround 10QRs. I also have a single run of MI3s from my main channel monoblocks going to my Velo DD-12 supplying it with a speaker level input. I've been very happy with the Goertz cables, and these are the only cables which haven't changed in my system over the past 4 years.
I first had my pair of MI3s connected to the 1.6s which sounded all right...neutral, good control of bass, and with lots of detail. Then, I tried a double run of MI2s and noticed a large difference. Everything took on a greater presence and seemed louder. Honestly, I think the difference had more to do with the elimination of the steel jumper. I'm not sure as I've never tried an aftermarket jumper on the 1.6s. Anyway, below is a link to the Alpha Core website which might be helpful regarding their cable recommendations. I would also call them, because they are quite helpful.
When it comes to the connectors, I have silver spades on the amp end and rhodium bananas on the speaker end. Two sets of the spades are connected to each of my amp's WBT binding posts without any problems. I also use an XLO banana adaptor for the MI3 spades. The rhodium bananas are also of good quality.
Hope this helps.
Ken
