Hay again Satie,
YES, YES, YES, U R rite again. My fixture does work AOK good enuff, but the MAG mylar is showing up 2 B more particular than the McMaster Carr 0.0005" mylar. Although it mite work on the bass panels w/the nec tuning after installation, the absolutely flawlessly perfect mylar is of a much more papery texture. More like the clear wings on an insect: bioengineering.
I'm looking 4 the reply one gave me a few days back were they mentioned several mylar sources. More work, tho nowhere near as hard. GOOD RELIEF!!!
I'll follow up & let U no.
And did U receive my info on my mylar elasticity (discovery) if U will. The mylar ends up being tightened somewhere very close 2 where it becomes fully taunt where the elasticity ends like a drum skin. If it were past this taunt limit it wood break. And it wood probably take 2 or more yrs 2 C how it performs w/time especially wen it can't B tuned in the future. But again: U R RITE!!! And I'm gonna get it rite the very 1st time. Nobody's gonna wanna revoil 'em each year or so. $$$$ saved!!!
Thx again,
Steve
