RE: MG 20.7 with Tympani Bass Speakers

Absolutely stunning! Your post reminded me that I once did something like that (but it was not nearly as nice looking) using a pair of Tympani IV-A woofers along with a 3.6. Likely a Bryston 4BSST drove the 3.6 (full range) from one set of Adcom GFP 565 outputs, and the IV-A woofers were driven by a pair of Bryston 7BSTs from another set. (I've owned and used the 7BSTs so long that their 20 year warranty has expired, and always with one or another Maggie.)




While the sound impressed me at first, IIRC I grew weary of it because I heard too much bass. Perhaps amplifying and/or positioning the speakers differently would have solved the problem, but having to listen and then compare a few results might have ended me up in an actual asylum, I simply gave up on it.
