The IVa has a longer tweeter. I know that Satie was talking about the possibility of enlarging the slot, he uses six Neo 8's but there are advantages to going to eight (eliminates traces of that cavity resonance in the highs). If you do make a larger slot, you could reduce some the spacing between the midrange and the tweeter. I think that's another change. The closer the better.
