26 and 30 gauge wire,, HMMMMMMmmmmm
I do use 26 gauge on my Altec VOTs but the are about 103 db for efficiency, many other Altec fans use the 26 gauge magnet wire,, has something to do with the impedance & capacitance of the wire,, it can be difficult to handle and install proper if you have much of a run to make,,
figure a home is wired with mostly 12 gauge wire and you can run a 1200 watt hair dryer at full blast all day long on 12 gauge,, 26 gauge wire will burn a 120 watt light bulb,,
what would be the longest peak time a 200 & 300 watt amp will be applying the full power down the line,,
here is a good web site to help calculate what gauge speaker wire you can use and how it should perform,, it will give you an error factor at the bottom of the page if it feels the wire is not proper for the distance and power required,,
