That's certainly a different twist to the concept of MMG stands.
Once upon a time I had my MMGs on mono-pole stands that worked quite well. I saw some tables that had great swiveling bases - the lightbult illuminated, and after a few alterations, I used those bases as MMG stands. If that could work (they were quite solid), then why should I not expect that your glowing light to also fall on a workable solution - and one with the bonus of fully adjustable tilt. As long as there is a mechanism that 'locks' the panels into their positions, that just might work.
For me, the mono-pole stands were a test jig for a number of concepts about which I had read in this forum, and they paved the way to my MMG/REL hybrids. You would certainly have something unique - unless you attain followers. ;-)
