hook the infitity´s up with an advanced FIR filtering !

if we take the "active" mode of top-end speakers as granted, you can obtain incredible performance of these if you apply FIR filtering technique.
sure, this is only in digital domain, but even soo....done right, you´ll NEVER look back !

if one is already mainly using digital source material, FIR filtering these speakers should render astonishing results.

DEQX is the most obvious if you want a "fool-proof" solution.
"audio-lense" of Norway is a very powerful PC based option.
-and still in the computer-audio world, Uli Brüggemann is (just now) upgrading his highly advanced "Acourate" program to manage active crossovers.

....for those who are curious about FIR filtering, the basic idea of it is to measure the setup in question and create a "mirror" of room-, phase- and amplitude response of the entire system and applying this to the playback.
-since computers can be so fast and acourate, an intelligent implementation of FIR can seriously "gobsmack" most analog enthusiast.....
