Suggestion :-)) ...

Does your wife like any movie stars, football/hockey heroes etc?

Swap your socks (if they're not white/cream) and buy some new white/cream ones and, before you fit them, get a T-shirt printing shop to print a pic of the star your wife likes. Then she might not object to having big panels in the room - and even if you hate this person, I'm sure being able to keep the Maggies will be something that lets you put up with the pic for. Or, you simply close your eyes while you're listening. :-))
