Maybe I should have been more specific about room and amplification.
My room is 35' x 16' x 18'' and opens to other parts of the house. I favor short-wall placement, with speakers 7' from front wall.
So lots of volume, but slightly narrow. OBs work well in this environment, as do conventional boxes.
I actively cross-over (and EQ) all the speakers that i own. I use Goldmund monoblocs (250wpc/4ohms) on all channels. I would tri-amp the Maggies.
Judging from comments so far, it sounds like both 3.6s and 20.1s would work, with the latter being a slight stretch in room/ amps.
Sound about right?
