The closest 'threat' Magnepan has that I've seen over the years are the more 'down to Earth' priced models such as the Eminent's Technologies and others.
Besides; IMO competition is a GREAT thing in audio; show me a speaker that can out perform my MG 1.6's for $1800 and I'll sell mine in a HEARTBEAT!!!!!!
