I want to run a couple of small signal tubes off a 5v supply. Ideally a twin triode. Where can I find lists of what was made in 5v or under 5v versions?
Follow Ups:
I am no expert in this, but got told that the tdsl has a search function...it may be limited to stuff wid the same pin-out, but I suspect it will cover the various heater voltages.
Paul/Kegger was the master of this. I am not him.
Could also just search for what you suspect may exist, like a 5DJ8...
cheers,
Douglas
Friend, I would not hurt thee for the world...but thou art standing where I am about to shoot.
From NJ7P tube database:
Triode-pentodes, same basing as 6U8:
4BL8 5EA8 5GH8 5GH8A 5KD8 5MQ8
5U8
Dual triodes, same base as 6DJ8 (5ES8 is variable mu, others may be as well):
4BC8 4BQ7 4BQ7A 4BS8 4BX8 4BZ7
4BZ8 4KN8 5BK7 5BK7A 5BQ7A 5BS8
5BZ7 5ES8
Not a lot of single triodes - 5AF4, 4BN4, 4HA5 - but you could triode connect 4AU6, 4EJ7, etc.
.
This might be of use to you.
Cal
RCA Tube Manual
or
GE Tube Characteristics
The two directories published by Manufacturers to provide designers etc w/ the parameters of the tubes that they built-
you will be looking for tubes with a leading digit of 4 or 5 (American nomenclature) this is the filament voltage....
