I love them, of course. New owner syndrome? Yes and no. They are just like I thought they'd be like based on the numereous reviews I read about these legends. Super transparent, musical, fast and magical OTLs. I've only had them for three days and have 30+ hours on them. Apparently they need 100 to really fully open up and smooth out. I love them already and cant' wait to put more hours on them. I'm coming from ss amps and this is my first tube amp so how can I not like them? The mids may not be the same as SET (not that I've really heard a properly setup SET system) but compared to some push-pulls and to ss, they are more far than I hoped for. The bass is actually superb on these latest gen's despite other peoples past remarks. I don't miss much in the bass dept. Customer service has also been great.
My speakers are Silverline Audio SR17s, nominal 8, down to 7.2. 89dB. Room is 23x12, speakers on the long wall, near field. No problems at all. But careful matching is required of course.
Try to get some hospital grade equipment cords. I've had the best luck with these. I get them from a surplus store for $8. Has cool clear 3 prone plug.
In a week you'll be saying how you'll never by another amp agin, unless your going to biamp. There real good Bryan, it's not new owner syndrome.
Remember the only reason I don't own 2 sets is I didn't need all the power.
You should try them on some Magneplaners, if you get the chance.
Later.

Yes, and they sound great!
I also use a amped sub, my Sandra would not refer to it as quit!
I have 1.6's..you must like your music quiet. The minimum I have be able to use is around 150/per channel, I have have tried a bunch.
I drive MG3.5R's with them.......while I can't turn them up very loud(my wife says it is too loud), they sound wonderful. They break up in the midrange at above moderate levels, but for normal listening in my 17x28' room, they are perfect. I love my AtmaSpheres.
I have tried them on 1.6's as well and they are a great match. How large is your room?
My room is 16 x 20 and I do not listen very loud except classical music. Usually 75 to 80 db for most music at my chair.
I have the 1.6,s. If I were you I'd try and get my hands on something with similar power before you commit. Contrary to the other posts I have not found anything under 100 watts that is even close to being powerful enough. My room is about the same size as yours. I'd love to have a low power tube amp but even the ones with 100 watts start to compress and harden a little above normal volume. I guess if you never listen above 80 db's you might be O.K.. The bass performace goes way up as power goes up. I've tried about 12 different amps. They just plain sound better with more juice. I just tried the Quicksilver 135's, very nice match with the best midrange I've had, and just enough juice for me.
