Does anyone have or use this tube? I've heard a couple of amps with this tube in place of a 12AU7 & the tone was quite nice. Plus, the thing was very quiet.I read a lot about folks hunting for 7316's---but, in my opinion the 7318 has a much better tone quality.

What's a 7318? I've never heard of this as a 12AU7/ECC82 sub, and I thought I'd tracked 'em all down.- SJ
TVR,Well, if you ever get a chance try either the Sylvania or GE 7318. These tubes were made for audio use. Being quiet and long lasting with the tone. I believe that the much sought after 7316 were designed more for instrument & computer use.
