Hi.This is some high mountain lakes in South West of China. An excellent place for kill films. You got to take a small plane to climb up that lofty mountain resort from its nearest city below.
Why not join me that the electronics fair in Hongkong & take from there?

Ah, yes, it's on my list of places to visit. For the most part, I avoid tourist locales. However, this area has a unique reputation for natural beauty and freedom from the pollution that blankets so many of China's cities now. Hong Kong is out, by the way; it's much too Western for my taste. These trips are expensive, and I make use of them primarily to shoot regional culture. In that regard, Hong Kong holds little more interest for me than NYC. Let's stay in touch; maybe we can meet up for a beer. I'll be there in April and/or May. Incidentlaly, I assume you speak Mandarin? I only know a few words, but my wife is fluent. That's how I stay out of trouble. :)
Hi.English & Francaise (French). Yes, I learned to speak Mandarin here in Canada as I go to China via Hongkong on business so often.
We got to know the language & custom there in order to get along well with the country you are visitng. Like in China & Japan, you got to start smoking & boozing quick with your business contacts to get befriended.
Before you go to Japan or Italy, you better learn of their basic lauguanges otherwise, trust me, you will find yourself very helpless, like half deaf & blind as in many cities there, that include Tokyo, Japan capital, sttreet signs & language spoken are stricly non-English.
Delighted to practice Mandarin with your better half one day there.

Yes, I understand the importance of speaking the language, especially in mainland China. It's difficult for me though, so I rely on others to get by. If it turns out that you are in the Chengdu area when we go, I will give you a phone number in China where you can reach me. It's in Nanjing, but calling between those cities is not expensive. Incidentally, on my last trip, I was disappointed to see that the last vacuum tube outlet in Nanjing (a factory outlet) is gone. They had a display window with lots of high-power transmitting types, including some unusual styles. It has now been demolished to make way for office buildings. :(
