Someone might argue that these old tapes have probably already experienced cold, hot and who knows what else... and that is probably true.

But that doesn't mean another crazy heat cycle is not going to produce some damage... imagine - the seller packs them and puts in his trunk. Goes to work and at the end of the day to the post office... the tapes sweating in 150 degrees heat for hours.

By the way, any progress with your NAK-T100 software?

Based on my test results from that software I am working on a long list of maintenance tasks, including both mechanical and electronic, to see if I can wrangle better response from my three 580s.
