Remove the binding post plate from the speakers and check how the internal wires are attached to the posts. If they are attached by clips then simply remove the clips (spades) from the backside of one set of posts and double them up on the other, re-attach plate to speaker and presto; transparency on so many levels.

Hmm nice suggestion! Soldering an internal jumper might also be possible - at least it will remove that extra binding post from the equation.
The info supplied by C.Graham above obviously indicates this trick is not possible with Sonus Fabers but works well with many other speakers. A decrease in the number of dissimilar materials a signal passes through should decrease the opportunity for signal degradation.
