Does this speaker benefit from crossover component tweaks? if so, what parts have you replaced?Thanks.

It can benefit from some higher quality capacitors but they use closely matched components in that series and you could do worse. I don't think there will be much improvement, but there is a little room there if it is done very expertly with good solder and proper joints. I would avoid it as they sound great without it. If you have any desires to improve the sound, I would look at the other components and the room, speaker placement first. Try toeing them in a lot more, moving them out from the back wall or corner, etc. I lived with a set of D700's for years and have sold quite a few D700 and D500 systems to happy customers.
