If you have ever worked for or in a large corporation, the only time Marketing and Product Development are on the same page. Is when they hand out the latest organization chart.

Reminds me of Empirical Audio...it seems like the marketing department is on the right side of his brain and the engineering is on the left side...and they are definitely not on the same page (and whatever page they are on is usually from the fiction part of the library, based on the posts of his that I've read).

Oh yeah, I have worked for a large Corp. in Product Development and I can tell you that at many levels people are not on the same page. Some due to bureaucracy other times because of management strategy.However this is a small company ie Marketing and Product Development are the same people. As far as I know....
The only "Large" Corp cable company I know of is Monster Cable...others Kimber, Audio Quest, Cardas, etc. the owners are in the loop and I am sure everyone in on the same page.

There's Product Definition and Marketing as well as Product Development. Unfortunately, these guys often forget the field. You know, the people in the trenches trying to sell the stuff with features that the customer doesn't want and missing features that the customer demands.
But if that USB cable somehow helps my download speeds for FREE w/o paying more to my internet provider, I'm all for it. ;-)

That would fit in with some of the wilder claims of a cable.
I want to e-mail him and tell him that a USB cable has nothing to do with downloading anything from the internet. But I doubt if he would listen. I tried to tell Chris about his explanation of how to pronounce Oyaide on his web site, but no change. Its actually "deh" not "day", but oh well...
