While I can connect to volumio on my mac.
When trying to play spotify, I get:

Failed to decode http://listen.shoutcast.com/spotify; CURL failed:The requested URL returned error:404 Not Available.

Once connected with my iphone and playing tunes, the volumio screen on my mac displays all the info as it should but I'm not able to control the device, pause, FF etc. doesn't function.

I'm assuming when you use your phone, you're using the Spotify app on your phone and streaming to volumio through AirPlay.

When you try to access Spotify through the web UI, you're using volumio's Spotify plugin. Not sure I can help further. Best to Google.

  I have that manual and used it to get going.
  I'll try Tidal or another streaming company.
