Those guys were pretty high up. I was more of foot soldier in the field working as a customer facing techie in pre-sales engineering. I didn't arrive at Sun until 2000.

I think it was 1987, heard a presentation from a pre-sales techie like yourself, was impressed and bought Sun stock. Still had it in 2000, knew it was over valued but couldn't face the tax liability so only sold a bit of it. Oh well.
