an external DAC that I absolutely love. Come to think of it, I don't think I ever used the Connect's inboard DAC via the analog outs.
So..."modded" Connect>digital out>into a good DAC was/is day and night for you? I'm tempted.

yep, it was expensive, I pulled the trigger and ordered the sonos connect + the upgrade from them, have another Sonos not modded collecting dust :) I compared the two, night and day :)
OK, you like Sonos.... I may give it a try with Deezer Elite. Mostly because I like putzing with new stuff, not because I am disappointed with Spotify and/or the SB Touch.
Let me ask you a question. My listening pattern lately has been with the Touch using the Triode Spotify Ap and 'Smart Mix'. Smart Mix (if you're not familar with it) will select tracks from my Library and Spotify's Library based on an Individual Track or an Artist and play Music that are 'Like' my selected track and/or Artist.
Does Deezer Elite have anything like this, or the Sonos Software?

Deezer has a 'artist mix' feature where it plays similar artists to the one you search for. Sonos has a save to sonos favorites that saves across (and from) all sonos services.
Thanks for your reply !Yes, I use Artist Mix as well on Spotify. But the real useful feature for me is a 'Track Mix'. This exposes you to different artists in a similar musical genre. Does Deezer have anything like this?
With that said, I am going to try Sonos with Deezer in a couple weeks when I return from my summer Vacation.

That's what Artist mix does and the good thing with Deezer is the sound quality. Also, you get some really obscure artists when playing similar artists.
I assume from your moniker you're a fly fisherman most likely north somewhere (not many cut throats in FL)
Yes, a Fly Fisherman indeed. I used to be a trout fisherman, but I have switched over to Salt Water, since I retired. Wintered 5 years in Florida before moving on to the Bahamas. I also fish Louisiana Redfish every fall. Bonefish and Permit in the Bahamas. Tarpon in Florida.
You?

Been in FL for the last 15 years and take complete advantage of the amazing fishing FL offers. I too come from the north country (MI) and grew up fly fishing trout salmon and northern pike. Now it's redfish, snook and trout primarily (still target tarpon but not as vigorously as I used to). You'll have to pm me if you are coming to FL anytime soon. I have a flats boat that I terrorize the inshore (and occasional offshore) waters with.
Thanks for the offer !..... I used to winter in Naples Florida and am a member of the Back Country Fly fishers in Naples. Also used to hang with the First Coast Fly Fishers in Jacksonville Florida.

Jacksonville is where I am and certainly familiar with those guys. Do most of my fly fishing in Misquito lagoon, an amazing place.
Mosquito Lagoon yes, there are Big Black Drum that the FCFFs catch once in awhile also.

I'm not sure, but I am in no condition to type right now, been drinking a lot and smoking cigars before the work week begins.
what I can say in this state, is if you have the money go for it.
