So what the eff does your off topic comment have to do with anything?
"I can live with this, rightly so I have a fiber connection, so I don't suffer congestion issues on shared nodes of coaxial cable which is common with those poor people who rely on traditional cable tv internet."
You have a fiber connection to your ISP but run wifi so you'll never achieve the full potential of your fiber? That's like trying to suck water out of a fire hydrant through a skinny cocktail straw! You're wasting all those bits that can't get through!
Just curious, what kind of speeds do you get over your fiber directly attached via Ethernet?
"guess you have a bigger cock than me :)"
Possibly, AND a bigger internet pipe!
" but I have a quicker "ping" lol!"
I'll keep my ping times and my 5x download speed over your 35Mbs, thank you very much! I'm not a 'gamer' so slightly slower ping times don't affect me. ;-)

i think I can get a gigabit but I am paying for 35mbps, way more than I need, and I can barely afford it.
I understand. The only reason I get the speeds I do is because I pay a premium for it. My work sometimes requires that I download HUGE files so it helps. Otherwise, I'd be just fine with about 10 - 20 Mbps I think.

I thought it would be funny in terms of a parody of the what seems to be usually a pissing contest sometimes here which is why I don't post at PC usually. No offense. all in good fun :)
I get about the same speed over wired ethernet with slightly faster upstream.
I don't play games either. Ping times are a lot more useful when you have to load album covers into your tablet for selecting albums to play on your tablet with the streaming services. I can scroll through hundreds of downloaded streamed in real time album covers and have it refresh as I scroll through instantly.
Oh, it's always a pissing contest here so poking fun sometimes turns into a major brawl. ;-)
BTW, I just visited the Sonos CONNECT webpages and it looks like a pretty decent solution being as versatile as it is. But for me, I'm pretty happy with the computer audio setup.
