Peter's views can be quirky, but so are yours.

Wearing your pajamas to church is quirky.
Not understanding how transistors or data storage works is not.

World English Dictionary
quirk (kwɜːk)
— n
1. an individual peculiarity of character; mannerism or foible
2. an unexpected twist or turn: a quirk of fate
3. a continuous groove in an architectural moulding
4. a flourish, as in handwriting
.Just one example from the numerous incorrect statements he made...
"Look at the transistor. What is it? A semi-conductor. How the fuck can this be good when half the signal is missing?"
He evidently thinks that the "semi" part of semiconductor means it only conductors part of the time.
Being wrong about basic facts does not make one quirky, it makes one wrong.

We usually see that type of concreteness in the mentally impaired. Unbelievable that the the owner/executive of a company that many in the hobby would consider as "the best" could utter such nonsense! (And apparently get away with it!?)
... working to support one's reputation. Feeding nonsense to nonsensical and nonsense-loving "hi-fi bloggers" seems appropriate course of action.
BTW, long time ago I decided that expressions "blogger" and "narcissistic graphomaniac" describe more or less the same thing - and nothing convinced me otherwise since. Well, with possible exception for very technically-oriented blogs.
why, on this particular board, inmates are so mean about people they don't know by just analysing to death one or two of their sentences they write. People on other boards and forums are not like this.
I don't agree with PQ, but that desn't mean that he can't say what he believes in.
It is just my perogative not to accept what he says.
.
Some things are open for debate while others are not.
If he believes what he says then he is an idiot, plain and simple. The statement about transistors proves it.
If he wants to go public with that type of lunacy then I see no reason not to publicly roast him.
.
There are many idiotic points made here.
Why have you not been so worked up?
"If he believes what he says then he is an idiot, plain and simple. The statement about transistors proves it.
If he wants to go public with that type of lunacy then I see no reason not to publicly roast him."
But since these discussions are at times akin to religion or politics, there will always be those who do believe.
i don't think this is mean.
The amount of ridicule seems proportionate to the ridiculousness.
"why, on this particular board, inmates are so mean about people they don't know by just analysing to death one or two of their sentences they write."
Are you speaking about yourself and your actions now. How refreshing... :)
