(I know I am!)
CD's for £2.50. CD-quality FLAC download of the same title: twice as much. Hi-rez FLAC download of the same title: almost four times as much. I'm into downloading myself, but do these prices really reflect the demands of the market? Are folks really abandoning physical discs this much? I don't really know the answer myself.

Which would you rather be holding?
Me? I'll take a shiny disk any day.
Oh, and the problem with the above? Shipping from the UK.
I'll be in the UK next month so ordered 10 discs. With shipping to a UK address it came to $40 but you are right that shipping to the US will probably sour the deal (unless you buy lots then the incremental cost might be small).

Shipping is no problem for me as I live 150 yards from their warehouse so I have arranged to walk over there to collect them once they have been picked.
Anyway I bought a small wheelbarrow load. Galling of course to find titles in the offer that I paid full whack for in the past but, I guess, almost inevitable.
I don't think that the sale necessarily reflects any move from physical discs to downloading as per Chris' comment, more a case of freeing up space in their warehouse by selling off slow moving titles.
Anyway I am indebted to Your Grace for bringing this to my attention.
