Seems she had a special gown made just for playing the Bartok Concertos w/LA Phil.
Backless, and cut down to her navel in front.
It's all about the Music...
Got Rave Reviews in LA.
Her playing, I mean.
Follow Ups:
one nicely oiled thigh showing up to her hip.
When Lang Lang performs in Speedos,
well....
Sex Sells, but showing so much skin makes a spectacle of herself, I don't know why she needs that.
I guess she's young and horney.
I wonder what repertoire would be appropriate for a shallow exhibitionistic libertine. Of course! She was born to play Liszt.
. . . was your original post so good that you had to re-post it verbatim? ;-)
BTW, you have the ability to delete one of your posts, should you be so inclined. ;-)

You DO know that Liszt can be VERY spiritual and austere, right?

BTW, some of Lola's uTube videos sound pretty darned good to me, even if I turn the picture off! :-)
OTOH, the video aspect is very important - did you hear about her solo recital in Carnegie Hall where she was wearing $850,000 worth of Tiffany jewelry? (I wouldn't know if that's a lot or not when it comes to Tiffany jewelry - LOL!)
I guess a little skin gets your head spinning. It's really very simple. She likes to look good. It's unfortunate that some folks can't handle that. Perhaps you should limit yourself to artists playing in Burqas so as to avoid seeing any skin at all. Better safe than sorry
On one hand, some of your posts seem to indicate that you relish entertainers (even classical music entertainers) who emphasize their sex appeal. But then, at other times, you seem to pivot around and start moralizing ("showing so much skin makes a spectacle of herself, I don't know why she needs that").
Is it any wonder why I'm confused? ;-)
NOT Yuja in this picture - but another classical pianist: Lola Astanova
No special gowns made for those concerts. Not that there would be anything wrong with that. And she played brilliantly.

they were mistaken. Not that it's any big deal. I thought the reviews of her performances were pretty accurate. If I remember them correctly.
Perhaps they said the Gown was made for her just for the Bartok Concerti, which I guess are rather physical to play.
Instead of for that specific Concert.
There was a paragraph devoted to her clothes.
If her boobs were any bigger, they would have popped-out,
judging from the photo.
LA Times Newspaper pinned to bulletin board.
Also said she's 30!
She doesn't look a day over 24.
I know, I worked with a 24 year old at the Ballet.
Shocking, probably illegal to be that young...
Is that the fairly new tall Asian girl with the SF Ballet? The one who I think is supposed to be the next prima ballerina there?
who is TALL and beautiful and a hell of a player.
Oh.... OK that is a different person. I was asking because we did hang out with that dancer one night in San Francisco after one of Yuja's concerts. She was quite the handful. In a good way. Very fun.

I know him through Yuja. He is the one always taking us out after her concerts to hang out with the dancers. Cellists just have more luck?
Sure, I was there his first couple of years , before I retired.
He was doing some arranging and composing too as I recall.
He's a dad now
