I studied music at Brown University, but I never really felt like I really understood the WHYs and WHEREFOREs of sonata form until I took this online course, which is repeated with rolling start dates.
Highest recommendation.

Heard him play the Beethoven 4th piano concerto with the SF Symphony a few years back. I'd love to hear him play a sonata recital - quite a lineage - pupil of Fleisher if I am not mistaken and by all accounts the real deal.
And mine was I am sure Photoshopped.
Still, it was challenging and actually a lot of work--homework of essay-question answers graded by one's peers, pop quizzes at various points in his lectures, etc.
THE BEST online course I have ever started and just about the only one I took for a grade and finished.
Yes, he is the real deal.
