Ok Kava according to Steve Barta the pianist on the two recordings below the answers are:
Herbie's performance on the recording Blue River on the song Like An Old Piano was the only time Herbie Mann was ever recorded on Bass Flute. http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/stevebarta
Herbie's performance on the title track of the recording Another Life Brazil was the last studio session before he passed away. That's pretty special. http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/stevebarta2
You can hear some of the tracks at the two links provided...

on "My Kinda Groove": "'Morning After Carnival' was written by Herbie Mann and is played by his regular group. He sets the mood of the piece by switching to Bass flute"

Hello Kava!
Actually if your answer is correct it means Herbie Mann has been recorded on Bass Flute on two different recordings, because the person who played with Herbie on the recording I'm speaking of, claimed this recording ---{ which isn't "My Kinda Groove" }--- was the only time Herbie was recorded on the Bass Flute! I'll give it a little more time and if no one else answers I'll tell which recording I'm speaking about, ok?
