Return to Planar Speaker Asylum

Now that the new panels have a couple hundred hours on them, I decided to run my standard room response curve and see what changed. Unfortunately, I've inserted another variable in that I'm now using a µRendu player in place of a Squeezebox Touch. Otherwise, placement and room treatments are unchanged. I wondered if they needed any fine tuning. It appears not. :)
The latest (lower) profile is a bit smoother and reflects a nice gradual rise at the bottom. The 200 hz response matches the 1 khz reference.

That is a very good result. I like the gently rising bass going into the 20s hz I tried to get the same for myself but the 25-50hz range simply rises too fast over the rest off the bass.
It does not appear that you need to do any changes to the room nor the placement scheme.

What you see is the results of many hours' worth of initial experimentation varying seating and speaker location along with bass trap placement. I went through dozens of iterations each time measuring the results.
I confess that my current room has very lucky room dimensions - unlike the basement in my last house. Do you use any bass traps?
Actually I have managed to get away without them but that was on the long wall setup. I am doing the short wall setup and was initially trying to get as much of the low freq tangential modes I could get but now that I am trying out something else I think I need to move the placement to a better compromise, though I don;t know that the short wall is going to give it to me.
