Who are these critics you are talking about? I don't see them.

Not you. You are a respected member and modder with informative posts.
I'm not naming names or quoting posts, but they are here. If I start pointing fingers and quoting posts, this'll turn into a melee again. Then poor Mart would have to wave his magic delete wand and make it disappear. Some of the juicy bits have already been sent to the bit bucket.
I knew when I hit the "Post Message" button on the original post that this would draw ire from some folks. But, like an idiot, I did it anyway. I was just trying to make a point. Here? Yes. I already admitted I was/am an idiot.
Now everyone who feels slighted will require a "No, it wasn't you" reply from me, until everyone is eliminated except the critics who never heard the speakers. It'll be like a game. Everyone can play! Okay, okay, okay... it was Colonel Mustard, in the library, with the lead pipe. :-)
No ire from me. I just think that many of the folks who own or have heard Magnestands are being a little too touchy and defensive given the overall positive reactions of almost everyone. Even people who have been critical of some of the claims admit that they must sound very good and must be an improvement over stock. Even the few who don't care for the looks (aesthetics *are* subjective) admit that the workmanship is great.
This is also audio, which in itself is extremely subjective.
If someone has said that PGs mods sound bad, but hasn't heard them, well, I'm not saying the post doesn't exist....but I missed the post(s).
Lastly, this is a forum in which we share words (thoughts) and photos. Limiting discussion to things we have all mutually experienced is too limiting. Intellectual speculation should be encouraged, not squelched.

Something which should be noted is that PG's harshest critics are actually far more critical of him and 'his' (unfortunately, some things which he has merely repeated have been attibuted to him) statements than about his mods. You are correct, but I'd posit that both sides are a little too touchy.
If speculation were prohibited, this forum would be pretty quiet. I've spoken numerous times about the benefits of PG's mods, but as Davey pointed out, I have never heard the real things. So, I'm really just speculating, but I think I have a pretty good base from which to hazzard my guess. On other things I've spoken with much less familiarity, but I still think those views had merit - as do the views of others.
Finally, long live variety!

Speculation is fine......as long as it doesn't involve any of PG's efforts. :)
Dave.
