I like it....
New Buffalo is basically Sally Seltmann and it seems her music has been reinvigerated by her husband David of the Avalanches, well that's what I get from a review on the website (www.newbuffalo.net).
The whole new album (The Last Beautiful Day)is a sun kissed affair of gorgeously arranged real life pop music.
Beth Orton sings a bit of back up.
Jim White from the Dirty Three palys a bit.
Otherwise its all Sally.
The songs sound like you already almost know them.
And you should.
The thank you list even includes Van Dyke Parks and his wife.
At times its a little reminiscent of Mum but with more straightforward lyrics.
Its a sensational record and anyone who hangs out here should hear it.

Do you know of a site that has samples from this album? Her website doesn't have any, and I can't even find the website for Dot Dash. Amazon has the About Last Night EP, which sounds interesting, but I'd like to hear more.

This link has the song "Recovery". Interesting track. Reminds me a little bit of Nena (Gabriela Kerner).
There's also a pop band called Insta that has a similar relaxed, laid back feel. You can sample some of their tracks here , if you'd like to check them out.

I have had it for nearly a week now and I keep hearing different things in it.
