I am all ears.
Follow Ups:
Geez Dave, just considering to challenge you on a Joy Division and perhaps even New Order would be enough to make my manhood shrivel in fear ;^)
IIRC, you have a little history with those blokes, who happen to be my fave band, excepting their two most recent efforts. I saw the Joy Division doco recently - quite interesting; my appreciation of Bernard increased.
Cheers
Not being one to want to make you shrivel... or have the opposite effect really!!!, but, yes, I do have that little history.
I used to spend quite a lot of time in Manchester back then, although I knew the Buzzcocks' crowd much better as they used to gig more and I used to "see" Sue Cooper one of their managers and used to stay at Pete Shelley's place.
But when Curtis died the band had just finished a tour for us (collective noun; it wasn't my company. I used to do publicity and look after some shows)and I would be interested to hear what someone has to say about these things from so very long ago.
... I don't have any gospel truth or deep and meaningful insight into Curtis' suicide.
I wasn't there and neither were any of us and no one will ever KNOW what happened in those last moments.
Unless they are going to start up ANOTHER death conspiracy.
No. I would not for a moment have thought you would; hell, even the guys in the band had no real idea... only that they could have recognised the downward spiral in hindsight.
Even if I thought you did know, I'd never ask. It would not be fair to put you in that position.
Cheers Dave.
