something like alt-Pop-Rocks, - but that's not a great one by any means.. :-)

Yes its the difficulty with trying to name any particular type of music when this really the open forum, the music-that-dare-not-speak-its-name the ability to always include something else.
That's why I thought stepping outside (oooops another forum!) and namimg iy after Peel.
I can think of no finer person to exemplify what this specific forum is about.
Why not just the "Pop Stop"?drop the "Hip" and there'd be less confusion... imho, my 2¢, ymmv, yada yada...
... even if much of the music we like isn't!
