They put them on my head just prior to sliding me into the machine.

Sounded like crap of course, but what type of headphones are totally non-magnetic?

Aluminum coils? Aluminum wired also?

    I think its a MUST that any headphone in an MRI machine will need to be non magnetic. They probably sound great because they are premium electrostatic headphones.

      Better plan may be to avoid MRIs :)

        Totally agree. Unfortunately I have to go every quarter to make sure the tumor didn't come back.

Maybe the transducers are nowhere near the MRI machine with the sound being delivered by air hoses like they used to do in airplanes.
