It's supposed to be less that $1000 per component as per the original post, but I tried to cheet by weaseling in the Nait 5 at $1500, by saying it's $750 preamp and $750 power amp (since it has pre-outs and power-ins, so it actually is). I tried to further weasel it in by suggesting the $250 sony SACD player to make up for the imbalance, adding the Ohm Micro-walshes (long shot) for a total of $2,500

Some components justify slanting the scale to meet the overall price point though, no doubt the 1.6's are one such package...
