Not to be critical, but that crema looks quite thin. What bean are you using?
Roasting your own is the path to dense crema. Check out the Fresh Roast 800; you will never look back!

He's about 6'5" and was leaning on it during my demo, but I don't think that it was a 'tamping' issue.

I remember thinking that a 5'8", no thanks.

It's a work of art to behold, however.

  Probably a combination of too fine a grind and too heavily tamped. I use a Gaggia Classic, but would much prefer a manual for the greater control.
