It seems clear to me that you have invested a lot of time and effort into the French Art DI/O. One of the most difficult things is determining if a 'change' actually means 'improvement' or just a difference that one can accept or reject. It is all relative to believe that one piece of equipment can make or break a system. But it would be nice if you can place the Art within the context of its partnering components.
Forgive me if you have already mentioned what your system is but it might benefit those who are not.
Thanks and good reporting.

OK, here we go...My system is :
-tweaked (clock, mechanism, PS) Pioneer PD 75 (Elite) Drive, between 2 granit plates etc...
-JM75 digital cable
-French ART
-l'Audiophile polarised and teflon insulated solid core Cinch cable-DIY Turntable (Rega base and arm with HW rear stub, and complete rewire, offboard motor, armaggedon PS, sysmic table etc...)
- Tweaked HK phono pre
-Passive pre with Black beauty and Kimber
-Amp similar to a hyper AKSA (a bit better then the quite sonicly - and powerly - similar Accuphase E 307, as the latest comparison showed)
- L'audiophile improved version of the super CAT5 LS cable, polarised
- Infinity Renaissance 90 LS. Mildly tweaked.
And of course a very good listening room and some 6 line filters...
That's it (mainly)
Bye
