Is there a less convenient way to adjust volume than dual sliders ?
Alpine once made a car unit with a vertical volume slider. Best only used on smooth roads !
Dean.
reelsmith's axiom: Its going to be used equipment when I sell it, so it may as well be used equipment when I buy it.

sure are harsh. The thought that high end stores allowed you in without an MD, back when y'all were 18, and could barely afford a Nad 3020 integrated amp.
...Eschewing your keyboards and typing from your phones, abbreviating everything in sight. What the hell's an MD?
And I'll have you know that I was quickly ushered out of a high end store, back when I was a long-haired, broke, nineteen year old college student who had just discovered there was more to audio than Pioneer, Marantz, and Sansui. I still remember the owner trying to impress me, asking me if I knew what his Pulsar LED watch (remember those?) was. Yep, I'd seen 'em in Playboy. [yawn]
I was the only one in the store, quietly looking around, and never even asked to listen to anything. It was suggested that I come back when I was ready to buy something.
And guess where I didn't return to spend my money a few years later, when I graduated and had a full-time job?

...I think you need an appointment. Magnolia in Best Buy. I really miss the small stores
BTW, take a look online at an Acronym Dictionary, it's really pathetic these days. I don't think most people know how bad it's gotten
Yes, I do too, but apparently the Hi-Fi fad was just that, a fad. A long running one, no doubt, and it still hangs on, but it's not everywhere like it used to be in the 1970s and 1980s. That trend of store closings has been helped along by those who audition equipment at a Brick & Mortar shop, then brag here on the Asylum that they've gone home and ordered the same equipment on line, to save money. Thankfully there's not too many of that type, or at least they have the good sense not to come here and brag about their evil ways.
I was just acting curmudgeonly regarding the acronyms, at least in this case. But I do find it somewhat irksome when an apparently serious post is full of them, as if the poster was sending a text to a friend.
"Hey you kids, get off my lawn!"
So sorry, I thought you boomers would know that MD is Medical Doctor. So you didn't get the saying M I T P H d M O N E Y .
"high end stores allowed you in without an MD"
My first thought was 'doctor' when I read MD, but I couldn't understand why you'd suggest that someone would have to bring a doctor with them to a Hi-Fi shop.
Thanks for your good natured response to my faux curmudgeonly confusion.
Other than Lummy pretty much everyone here is a old fart.
