Age induced hand tremors makes solder gun impossible, need replace suggestions

Posted by Edp on April 9, 2025 at 22:18:55:

Not a regular on this part of Asylum but didn't get many responses to my usual Asylum haunts, so pardon for duplicate post. More likely hood of DIY folks with solder experience

Tremors of the hand make using a solder gun beyond plausible so would ask for solder iron replacement recommendations

Strictly passive crossover work, no circuit board skills
Portable, different work locations ( spare room, garage, kitchen, bench and sometimes inside enclosure
Need firm holder, no roll arounds
Good availability of tips ( mine of late are lasting 20 minutes of touch time, used to be dozens of hours)
Not a semi-permanent type station as unit will be put away after each use

Good number of folks around here do hands on so might get some experienced advise
