ERS breaker box tweak

Posted by rhyno on October 3, 2009 at 10:35:12:

got this idea from alan maher (which to foreshadow, makes me wonder how effective his products are)

i've had 2 sheets of ERS in my audio toolbox doing nothing for years; whenever i tried them before, i either heard A) nothing or B) a mild attenuation of the highs that i found objectionable. well, alan wrote of using ERS to line the breaker box of your house, so i did so using duct tape to affix it to the breaker box (operation complete in 5 min and at no point did i need to kill power to the house, so obviously i was just lining surface areas & no conductive points)

living w/ it a few days has been nothing but upside; it very much lessens background noise that rides on the mid-high frequency band which gives rise to bad digititis and stage confusion. discs that heretofore were brightish and confused now have a sence of ease to them. i can listen louder for longer, and i've always maintained that if you cannot listen to something at higher dbs its b/c of a distortion you find objectionable; the ERS breaker box tweak reduces that distortion for minimal effort & time. highly recommended.
