Sand/lead filling a Lovan Sovereign stand

I have sand/lead filled the three posts of my Lovan Sovereign racks. I would just like to know is it better to sand/lead fill the small rectangle portion as well or should leave them empty?

It will takes a lot of time to fill them and will takes longer to get the filling out!

Please share your experience. Thanks.
