Monikers

Posted by 1973shovel on August 5, 2018 at 14:32:59:

I happened to be searching the archives today, and noticed this post by an inmate named bluelobster. I thought it was an unusual moniker, one I'd never seen a post from before, so I clicked on the (A) next to the name.

What do I see, but the information for Uncle Mike, an moniker I'm familiar with.

This isn't the first time I've noticed this, where an old post with an old moniker leads to a current inmate. I didn't know monikers could be changed mid-stream like that. I know someone like Elisabeth frequently deletes her account, and starts fresh, but her old monikers aren't linked to the new one(s).

I'm not interested in doing it, but I am curious why someone would do it (not lobster / Mike specifically, but just generally) and is there something you, as Administrator, have to do, or is it available to everyone?
