Dean if you like bass then the D200 will IMO smoke the AT headphones.Not sure about the synergy with your amp but it should be OK as its a hybrid tube input and solid state output if I am correct. The D2000 is a great headphone and a class way above your AT at least IMO as having owned the AT one time and for the 89.00 I paid was a nice headphone but clearly the D2000 is way above it. Have fun. Speakers should be reconsidered if you feel that your not getting the most . I have my system designed for both my headphones and speakers but the speakers will beat out the headphones. My Decwar amps were designed custom to work with all my headphones as I actually have two full tube amps one each side of my Decware for both high and low impedance cans and out put on my CSP2 for the sub under my desk and Omega speakers into my Taboo. Kind of fixed all my needs. Look forward to your impressions on the D2000
