RE: I'm sure TE phonos sounds fine

The uproar is partially justified by the "dickhead" initial reaction of TE.
Who knows the cause, surprise? bad day, bad judgement. Myself? I'd hire a squad of local soccer hooligans and broke a few of Mend Mark front teeth and that would be IT. This is the way one small business owner deals with other small business owner.
British designers often consider their work an art and behave like a pompous pricks. Does it justify a lynching crowd of MP3 barbarians to cancel the business? You never heard any product of TE, know nothing about the business but you joined the mob to burn it down, because it does not fulfil your price point criteria.
I'd wave my hand if Mend it Mark was a complete imbecile unaware of the fallout. He doesn't look like the sharpest tool in the shed but he is surely clever enough to maximize the click count
I have no problem with build quality and re-sale value. I work with my hands and know what it takes. CAD design, automatized PCB assembly and China sourced CNC chassis, plus $10k for face plate project from an artist and Youtube crowd is happy. Of course I will never have money to buy Master Grove, and frankly I don't feel a need to have a gear on that level , but if by some accident I hit the bank the re-sale value will be last on my mind.
